Autumn - Botanical Wax Melts

Our botanical wax melts are made using a high-quality natural soy wax, sustainably sourced by our supplier from Europe, together with pure essential oils carefully selected to create each Wye Wicks fragrance. 

We believe beautiful home fragrance doesn't have to be complicated.  We don't use synthetic fragrance oils, artificial colourings or scent enhancers, allowing the natural character of the essential oils to shine through.  

Our soy wax is palm oil-free, biodegradable and vegan-friendly.  

Each wax melt is hand-poured in small batches in our Herefordshire studio and presented in a recyclable glass jar with a polished silver lid. 

Our botanical wax melts will gently fragrance your space for between 4-6 hours, depending on scent and how the melts are burnt and cared for.

As a natural vegetable wax, soy can respond to changes in temperature.  You may occasionally notice frosting, slight variations in colour or changes in appearance.  These are natural characteristics of soy wax and do not affect the fragrance or performance of your wax melts. 

Botanical wax melts are a lovely way to add fragrance to your home.

Remove from the packaging and place one wax melt in the well of a suitable wax burner.  We recommend using a 4-hour tealight and following the instructions supplied with your burner.  

Allow the wax to melt gradually and enjoy the fragrance as it fills your space.  When the fragrance has faded, allow the wax to cool completely before removing the wax and replacing it with a fresh melt. 

If the wax does not release immediately, place the burner in the freezer for a couple of minutes, then gently push the wax out.  Do not relight the burner until it has returned fully to room temperature.

Always allow your wax burner to cool fully before moving, cleaning or re-using it. 

Dispose of wax in accordance with local guidelines.  If you are local to us, used wax can be donated to Brecon Creative Wales, a charity that works with young people to repurpose wax into pinecone firelighters. 

We want you to enjoy your botanical wax melts safely.  Please follow these simple precautions whenever you use them. 

Always use a wax burner specifically designed for wax melts and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Do not use a hot plate, unsuitable candle warmer or any appliance not intended for melting wax.  

Place the burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from draughts, curtains, furniture, bedding and anything else that could catch fire.  

Never leave a lit tealight or wax burner unattended.  Keep away from children and pets and do not place the burner where it could be knocked over. 

Do not move the burner while the tealight is lit or the wax is hot.  Allow the burner and wax to cool completely before handling, cleaning or moving.  

We recommend a 4-hour tealight and not using the burner for longer than 4 hours at a time.  Allow the burner to cool fully before relighting.  

Use in a well-ventilated room and do not allow the wax well to overflow. 

Do not use a burner that is cracked, chipped or otherwise damaged, as hot wax may leak from the well.  

Keep the burner away from water and never add water or other liquids to melted wax. 

Extinguish the tealight if the flame becomes unusually large, the burner becomes excessively hot or anything appears unsafe. 

Our candles and botanical wax melts are made using a natural soy wax that is manufactured in the UK by our supplier using soy sourced from non-genetically modified producers in Europe.  It is biodegradable, vegan-friendly, and palm oil-free.  Our supplier has also confirmed that the soy is sourced with sustainability in mind and does not contribute to deforestation.  

We purchase our essential oils from a reputable family-run business that we have worked with for many years.  We choose high-quality vegan-friendly essential oils that are 100% pure and unadulterated. Our supplier works with established producers around the world and bottles the oils here in the UK. 

Essential oils are precious ingredients.  Producing even a small amount can require a significant quantity of flowers, leaves, peel, wood or other botanical material, so responsible sourcing really matters to us.  

We do not knowingly use essential oils derived from botanicals that are not considered threatened or endangered.  We also avoid oils from species or sources where there are recognised sustainability or conservation concerns, including certain Rosewood, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Bay Laurel and Vanilla species.

Where we use Eucalyptus and Cedarwood, we carefully select species that are not considered threatened or endangered species, including Eucalyptus globulus and Juniperus virginiana. 

The glass jars and steel lids used for our candles can be recycled.  The jars can also be repurposed and make lovely dessert jars, while the lids are perfectly sized to pop onto drink glasses in the summer to help keep out wasps.  

We use natural kraft packaging for our candles, which can be recycled once the label has been removed.  Our wax melt packaging is also recyclable, again once the label has been removed.

Although the wax used for our wax melts is biodegradable, we recommend reusing or repurposing any leftover wax where possible.  If you are local to us, used wax can be donated to Brecon Creative Wales, where it is repurposed into pinecone firelighters.  

The essential oils used in this product contain the following fragrance allergens: Linalool and d-Limonene.

These constituents naturally occur within the essential oils used in the blend.    

If you are sensitive to fragrance, have an existing medical condition, are pregnant or have pets in the home, we recommend checking the ingredients and suitability of the product before use.  If you have any concerns, please seek appropriate medical or veterinary advice before using this product.  

As with all fragranced products, keep out of reach of children and pets.
