Wye Wicks

Our Story

Wye Wicks began at our kitchen table.  

 

Cheryl first trained as an aromatherapist over 30 years ago, and essential oils have been part of our everyday lives ever since.  A chance conversation about our daughter's severe allergies and anaphylactic reactions, together with her love of candles, prompted us to start looking more closely at the ingredients used in some home fragrance products. 

 

That curiosity led Cheryl to begin experimenting with natural wax and her own essential oil blends at home.  What started as something for our daughter soon became gifts for family and friends too. 

 

The response was far bigger than we expected.  Friends began asking for more, family members encouraged us to keep going and before long the little collection on our kitchen table had become Wye Wicks.

As the business grew, Simon took over the making and production side, carefully hand-pouring and preparing the products in our Herefordshire studio, while Cheryl continued to develop and refine the fragrance blends using her aromatherapy knowledge. 

​

From those early kitchen-table beginnings, Wye Wicks has grown into a small family business with customers who return again and again for the fragrances they love.  You'll now find us online, through selected stockists and at markets and events throughout the year.  

​

A lot has changed since those first candles were made at home, but the part we love most hasn't, creating fragrances that become part of people's homes, routines and memories. 

​

We're incredibly proud of how Wye Wicks has grown and very grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey so far.
