One of our guilty pleasures during the colder months is a warming chai latte in one of our favourite coffee shops in Hay just watching the world go by. It's become a tradition and one that was the inspiration for our gorgeous Winter Collection.

The sweet, spicy blend of cinnamon bark, clove bud, ginger, nutmeg and star anise essential oils warm the soul inspiring a sense of security, sensuality, and warmth. Cinnamon (Bark) Essential Oil

Cinnamon bark is a wonderful natural mood booster, reducing stress and promoting positivity. It has been long associated with health, protection, and immunity. Cinnamon is also known to increase blood flow to the brain, providing an energising effect and encouraging inspiration. It has a warming, comforting scent. Steam distilled from the outer bark of South Asian Cinnamomum trees.

Clove Bud Essential Oil

Clove bud oil has been used in traditional and folk medicines for hundreds of years. It contains higher levels of eugenol, which gives it a stronger scent and more potency. It is extracted via steam distillation from the buds of the clove tree.

Ginger (Zingiber Officianale) Essential Oil

The warm spiciness of ginger essential oil has excellent mood-boosting properties and is also thought to get the blood flowing and the heart beating faster. The oil is believed to build feelings of courage and assurance, increasing self-esteem to help us approach love with confidence.

Nutmeg (Myristica Fragrans)

Nutmeg essential oil has a wide range of applications. A highly anti-inflammatory oil, nutmeg oil is known to help effectively relieve pain and reduce the accompanying swelling. These anti-inflammatory properties can help protect organs from damage and guard against several inflammatory conditions. Nutmeg is also known to be a useful remedy for sleep. It is extracted from the dried kernels of the Myristica fragrans tree, which is native to the Spice Islands of Indonesia.

Star Anise (Illicium Verum) Essential Oil

An ancient Chinese remedy, star anise is very effective at protecting our bodies from infection. Star anise oil's store of shikimic acid is considered crucial in the fight against the flu virus, and it has also been known to combat bacterial and fungal infections. Star anise is also considered a relaxing oil that can be diffused to relieve stress. s extracted via steam distillation from the dried, ripe fruit of the evergreen tree, native to Southeast Asia.

The essential oils are expertly hand-blended in our studio before being added to our reed diffuser base, then hand-poured in small batches to ensure quality.

More than just a reed diffuser, our beautiful natural dried flower reed diffusers are a beautiful statement piece that not only smells amazing and provides a well-being boost, but looks stunning too. The reed bouquet contains natural rattan reeds, dried bunny tails grown in our cottage garden or sourced from a local flower farm and pretty sola wood flowers. Also available as a traditional 100ml reed diffuser and 100ml refill. Additional dried flower reed bouquets can be purchased separately.

Our reed diffusers are made using a natural base, made from ethanol and dipropylene glycol, and essential oils. We don't add any additives, preservatives, scent enhancers, or colourings so you can be confident the only ingredients you will see on our labels naturally occur in the essential oils used.

The 150ml dried flower reed diffusers and 100ml traditional reed diffusers are perfect for smaller spaces but, strategically placed, work beautifully in larger rooms. All of our glass bottles are recyclable, and refills are available.

The 100ml reed diffusers will fragrance your space for up to 12 weeks and the 150ml dried flower reed diffusers for up to 16 weeks. To get the best out of your essential oil diffuser we recommend turning the reeds weekly for a fragrance and wellbeing boost.
Reed diffusers can be likened to a beautiful floral bouquet; you'll smell the scent as you walk past but it won't overpower the room. Place your diffuser in a high-traffic area where circulating air will disperse the essential oils throughout the room or just inside the room or door where you'll get an aromatherapy boost as you enter. We always turn the reeds in our diffusers here at Wye Wicks HQ just before we go on holiday, so we're welcomed by a gorgeous scent on our return!

the reeds dry out, boost the fragrance by taking the reeds out and flipping them over but note the more they are turned, the faster the essential oils will evaporate. Take care when turning the reeds as spills may damage surfaces, always flip them over a sink and ensure any drops spilled onto the bottle are wiped away. We recommend placing a coaster beneath your diffuser to protect surfaces from spills.

refilling your bottle, wash it thoroughly with soapy water and let it dry completely. We recommend changing your reeds every time you refill the diffuser as reeds can become clogged and dusty over time reducing their efficiency. Not all reeds are equal, and we have carefully tested our diffusers to ensure we have the best ones for our blends.
Reed Diffusers contain flammable liquid, do not light the reeds. Do not ingest. Keep reed diffusers out of reach of children and pets. People suffering from perfume sensitivity should be cautious when using this product. Use gloves when handling used reeds.

Do not place your reed diffuser directly onto polished, painted, plastic or leather surfaces or on electrical equipment, as accidental spillage may damage certain items.
We purchase our essential oils from a reputable family business that we have worked with for many years. We only use high-quality vegan-friendly essential oils that are 100% pure and do not contain any additives or preservatives. Our supplier ethically sources each oil from reputable producers and bottles in the UK.

To produce a small amount of essential oils, a large amount of botanical material is required and this can put strain on the sustainability of botanicals used for essential oil production. We avoid using oils derived from the following botanicals which are considered threatened or endangered: Eucalyptus Radiata, Frankincense (Boswellia Scra), Sandalwood (Santalum Album), Atlas Cedarwood (Cedrus Atlantica), Bay Laurel (Laurel Leaf), Rosewood (Aniba Rosaeodora) and Vanilla (Vanilla Planifolia). We do use Cedarwood and Eucalyptus in some of our products but are careful to ensure the varieties used are Eucalyptus Globulus (Eucalyptus) and Juniperus Virginiana (Cedarwood) which are not considered threatened or endangered.

The glass jars and steel lids used for our candles can be recycled. The jars can be repurposed and make great desert jars while the lids are perfectly sized to pop onto drink glasses in the summer to keep out pesky wasps.

We use natural kraft packaging which can be recycled once the label has been removed. Delivery boxes are shredded where possible and reused as packing.
